Summer Reading - Children

Welcome to the 2024 Summer Reading Challenge!
Children, ages birth to 11 years, can keep track of their time spent reading this summer and earn rewards along the way.  Read for a total of 30 hours this summer and you've completed the Summer Reading Challenge!

Choose from two ways to keep track of summer reading - pick up a printed log and stickers to mark your reading time or use the Beanstack Tracker App to log in your minutes and earn virtual badges while still collecting those rewards at the library. You can register for Beanstack HERE.  Completion of either option will qualify for entrance in the Grand Prize Drawing on Saturday, July 20, 2024 .

Don't forget that the library offers great programs all summer (and all year long!) See the current newsletter for a full list of events. We hope to see you often this summer!

Apply for a Library Card

PINES library cards are free for all Georgia residents. You must present a valid photo ID showing current Georgia address. A parent or legal guardian must be present to register a child under 18.  There is no longer a charge to replace a lost or stolen card.  A card is not required to attend programs or visit the library, however, you must have your card or show your card on the PINES app to check out items.

You can also apply for a PINES e-card online! Click here to fill out the form.

An e-card provides immediate access to your library’s online resources, including our digital library and learning resources. If you’d like to upgrade to a full PINES card in order to check out library books and other materials, please bring your e-card account number and your photo ID to any PINES library to complete the registration process. If you have any questions, please call your local library for assistance.
